You can file this yourself at ucr.gov for the government fee alone — our guide shows how. We are not the UCR Plan and don't pretend to be. We're the people who make sure it's done, right, on day one.

How it works

  1. You give us your USDOT

    One form, two minutes. We pull your legal name and power-unit count from the FMCSA register while you type.

  2. We verify the bracket

    UCR fees jump at 2, 5, 20 and 100 power units. We check your MCS-150 count against the bracket you picked and tell you before anything goes to the government if they disagree.

  3. Government fee, at cost

    The UCR Plan sets the 2027 fee; it is final only when FMCSA publishes the rule. You get a separate payment request for the exact official amount. No markup, no rounding.

  4. We file, you get the receipt

    Registration opens October 1. We file at the official UCR portal within one business day of the window opening, or of your government-fee payment, whichever is later, and email you the receipt. Next fall we remind you before it lapses.

Questions

Can't I just do this myself?
Yes — at ucr.gov, for the government fee alone, and our free guide walks you through it. You're paying us for the bracket check against your MCS-150, for filing it the day the window opens, for the receipt landing in your inbox, and for not having to think about it next year either.
Are you the UCR Plan or affiliated with it?
No. TruePermit is an independent compliance service. The official portal is ucr.gov, run by the UCR Plan; we submit your registration there as your authorized agent and we say so on every page.
Why isn't the 2027 government fee in the price?
Because it isn't final. FMCSA proposed raising every bracket about 20% for 2027 (0–2 power units would go from $46 to $55). Quoting a proposal as a price would be guessing with your money. We bill the exact official figure, at cost, once it is published — before we file.
What if you can't file for me?
Then the $39 is refunded in full. That covers a USDOT we can't verify, an inactive authority, a fleet we don't self-serve, or anything else that stops the filing.
I'm a broker or freight forwarder with no trucks.
You still owe UCR, in the lowest bracket regardless of size. Pick 0–2 power units and say so in the notes; we file it the same way.
