Authority & insurance monitoring
Live FMCSA/USDOT operating status, MCS-150 cycle and insurance. You see a problem before anything lapses and your authority goes inactive.
Services
One platform for the whole compliance picture: what applies to you, what you owe down to the jurisdiction, and every deadline before it slips. Deterministic engines do the math; the AI explains it.
Know what applies to you and never miss a deadline.
Live FMCSA/USDOT operating status, MCS-150 cycle and insurance. You see a problem before anything lapses and your authority goes inactive.
Every IFTA quarter, registration renewal, medical card and annual inspection on one calendar, with email alerts at 30 / 14 / 7 days.
We resolve which of 25+ federal, IFTA and state obligations apply to you, based on your authority, fleet and the states you run, and flag what's missing.
Track every number, certificate and oversize/overweight permit, each with its own renewal reminder so nothing expires unnoticed.
Turn trips and fuel into filed-ready numbers.
Trips + fuel become a filed-ready IFTA return across every jurisdiction, plus OR / NY / KY / NM / CT weight-distance taxes, all on the official rate matrix.
Truck-legal routing via HERE (height, weight, axles, hazmat) with audit-defensible per-state mileage that feeds straight into your returns.
Ask a question or upload a PDF and let the Copilot do the busywork.
Plan a load in one sentence and get the route, what you owe and what's missing. It calls the deterministic engines rather than guessing, and usage is credit-metered.
Upload an insurance certificate or permit PDF and the credential fills itself in with the dates, numbers and jurisdiction from the document.
Compliance and tax calculations are unlimited on every paid tier; the AI Copilot and PDF reading run on a monthly credit allowance. New to a requirement? Our compliance guides explain each one in plain English. See exactly what each plan includes on pricing.
You start by connecting your USDOT number. TruePermit reads your public FMCSA record (operating status, authority type, insurance on file, MCS-150 cycle) and combines it with your fleet (weights, axles, fuel type) and the states you actually run. From that, the applicability engine resolves which of the 25+ federal and state obligations are yours: UCR, Form 2290, IFTA, IRP, a weight-distance tax account in Oregon, New York, Kentucky, New Mexico or Connecticut, hazmat registration, CARB in California. Each one lands on your calendar with its own deadline. It's a determination made from your data, with the reason shown, not a generic checklist.
Through the quarter, trips and fuel receipts accumulate: entered manually, imported by CSV, or planned in the truck-legal route planner, which returns per-state mileage you can defend in an audit. At quarter end the IFTA return is already built: taxable miles and gallons per jurisdiction, priced on the official quarterly rate matrix, netted into one figure. The five weight-distance states compute the same way, from the same trips. Every number is produced by a deterministic, unit-tested engine. The AI Copilot can explain a figure or plan a load, but it never invents one.
The same philosophy applies to fees. When TruePermit tells you a permit or registration costs something, that figure comes from our verified database of official government fees. Each amount is read from the agency's own page or statute, independently re-checked, and dated, so you can tell the state's real price from a permit-service markup before you pay.
We don't file on your behalf, and we don't sit between you and the state. TruePermit prepares filing-ready numbers and hands you the official channel (your base state's IFTA portal, the IRS for Form 2290, your IRP office), so there's no middleman fee buried in your taxes. We also don't sell permits: if a trip needs one, we show the official state fee and where to buy it directly.
And nothing here is legal or tax advice. Rules change; every determination links to its official source so you (or your accountant) can verify it. If you're new to a requirement, start with the plain-English compliance guides, from how IFTA actually works to the full checklist for new MC authority.
